High West Noble Share

The Noble Share is a collaboration between High West and Casa Noble Tequila: the final result is a straight rye whiskey blend (4-10 years) aged for 6 months in Marqués Extra Añejo barrels.

Distiller's notes:

-Mashbill: MGP (95% rye, 5% malted barley) and HWD rye (80% rye, 20% malted rye)

-Finished in Marques de Casa Noble Añejo tequila barrels for 6 months.  A portion of the blend has also been finished in Amburana barrels for a short period of time.  We used Amburana barrels that had either char 3 or medium toast treatments.

The Marques Añejo tequila barrels impart beautiful yet subtle agave and lemongrass notes with light vanilla.  This is complemented by the botanical character and spice from the base rye spirit blend. The Amburana barrels enhance blend complexity with a slight nuance of cinnamon stick.

Tasting notes:

Nose: Ripe mango, ruby grapefruit, spiced apple cider, piloncillo sugar, anise, allspice
berries, mesquite wood, sunset walk through an agave field

Palate: Baked pear, charred peaches, cooked agave, ginger molasses cookie, freshly fried churro, orange blossom, cinnamon bark, black licorice, oak, leather

Finish: Pink peppercorns, dark agave honey on a sopapilla

We are very pleased with the balance and complexity we've achieved by curating these elements and bringing them together in perfect harmony.
